I just see it mostly as sad childish politicing by a different party....

There are bigger more urgent problems that people should be trying to sort out....

Can we try and find a victim among all this hue and cry? O yes I forgot, the victims are the lawless scrotes who looted and burned whole swathes of our cities. Heaven forfend that anyone should pay them an insult.

Possibly the victims are the people of North Deal who have someone who is so dismissive of anyone who is not him as their elected Councillor.

Mr Frost's Facebook postings have attracted controversy in the past in particular comments he made about single mothers in Dover town centre.
He wrote: 'Well, being in the Market Square you might ask how all the single mothers congregating with their push-chaired spawn are able to afford both their beer and their tattoos. I have a horrible idea I am paying for both.'
When it was put to Mr Frost that some of those mothers might be from his own constituency in north Deal, he responded: 'While there is a certain demographic which may well fit the description in North Deal it is most unusual for them to waddle so far from their territory.'

Well if they feel that they are victims it's their own fault for electing him. Has anyone asked them? Or is everyone taking offence on their behalf? So far I have heard not a word of complaint from anyone who might have been a target of Bob's comments, only from the PC brigade.

Peter I will comment no more, you are obviously firmly in Frost's camp, the above comment and the rantings I used to read from him on here make me believe he is unsuitable for public office to represent all elements of his ward.

Actually Martin I'm not in any camp except my own. I know Bob quite well and I also know well many of the people who have been slating him on here and in the media. I just think the sight of loads of people attacking someone in this way is unedifying. Let those who are genuine victims of his vitriol cast the first stone.

Peter we can clearly see you know him by the way you are defending him. As Martin says these comments are not the first and have been pretty awful for some time. People who dont know him like myself and others have been somewhat amazed by the stuff he comes out with..for a councillor and a teacher. Ive had that first stone from the victims you talk about in my mailbox previously. The pigeon eventually came home to roost for Bob Im afraid.
I think, speaking for myself, it isn't just about Bob. I have some unease about the way it has blown up to national proportions so quickly. We are expected to be understanding and accepting of all kinds of people with whom we may or may not have anything in common - and that is cool, we should be respectful of difference, diversity and our fellow travellers on this planet - but it does not seem to be a smooth process involving tolerance of everyone. Not for a skinny minute do I think we should tolerate prejudice or divisive attitudes, but it simply feels a bit wrong the way it has taken flight and people have elbowed each other out of the way to be at the front of the lynch mob. If I may use that expression.

Oh that day I lost my innocence
My face does flush red!
I uttered such insolence
It should be said
If I had kept my silence
On that day of violence!
Now I must hide my face
For something so base
which I said
when I lost my head

I know Bob and find him to be a highly intelligent articulate maverick - probably not ideal councillor material.
I will neither damn nor defend the comments he has made - as they are far too close to what vast swathes of middle England are thinking but too afraid to say for fear that the Bleeding Hearts of Political Correctness will damn and pillory them.
What continues to bother me is
a) that someone who he numbered amongst his "Facebook Friends" shopped him to the press
b) certain people knowing what he is like and how he reacts to things seem to have egged him on
c) Someones sense of self righteousness is going to lose a man his job for a bit of mildly offensive stupidity

A good summing up Ross. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the armpits of those who seek to deprive a good school of a good teacher.
