I should think that Manwood's are not very happy either, I always thought he was bit of an idiot (polite version of real feelings) with some of his rather silly comments on here.

It seems to have gone global quite quickly - check out the journos who wrote the Mail article. It has spread quite organically..........is there something else going on?

My name is on there because it is my copy from the Dover Express. That's all there is to it, nothing sinister or strange. It was picked up by the Mail and BBC who phoned me to use it and the byline was one of the conditions

I have had the pleasure of working with Bob when we both served as Immigration Officers. I have known him for about 30 years. He always conducted himself without prejudice to race, creed colour or religion. I am therefore confident that he made his remarks ''off the cuff'' and without any racial undertones.
He has one of the sharpest minds I have ever come across and a brain that is second to none. I hope he will be allowed to continue working for the people of Deal.

It might be "off the cuff" but he must have thought like that to think it up and then say it, public persona can be very different to the private one.

In a statement, Mr Frost said: "What I said was wrong and I apologise unreservedly.
"I am mortified by the offence that I have caused and have deleted these comments.
"I am very sorry."

Facebook now seem to have deleted Bob's profile. Something of an extreme reaction I would have thought.

or maybe Bob has suspended / deleted his own page....
I do think some of the (biased?) comments here don't do anything to improve the situation.
Looking on the bright side at least it's more publicity for the area

My worry is that given the papers made great play and emphasis on where he worked that his job will be in jeopardy - I hope I am wrong

ROSS;
In all honesty bob is a bright fella, he knew exactly what he was saying, and knew it was likely to cause offence, if you take the decision to post in that way then you also have to take thngs that come your way to

Indeed, using the internet is not at all stress free and one does have to learn not to apply a liquid 'solution' to help things along.
No matter how ones cup runeth over with supposed wit and insight.
Perhaps he has been running with the wrong crowd?

Sorry - did I miss the bit where he committed mass murder, stole lots of property, and all the while laughing demonically? Any minute now he will lose his Coca Cola sponsorship deal.

Sadly many employers will consider the proximity of their name with an employees behaviour being splashed across the press and internet as "bringing then into disrepute" which is highly likely to be considered as gross misconduct.
There is a world of difference between posting a bit of banter between one and ones friends on something like facebook and doing the same in a totally open/fully searchable forum.
The elephant in the room, surely, is who alerted the press to the little exchange between Bob & Howard?

bob knows(knew) full well hes in a responsible position
and that his comments being on such an open forum would be picked up
he chose to write them
it is how in the bigger picture if he holds them views would he deal with such people in his classroom? in the community, etc etc

For some reason it seems that on Facebook people forget it is a public forum and say what they would not say on a site like this, I wonder why that is.
