Well unlike me to ever quote from the express, but if todays front page is correct
our old forumite (banned by paulb) has been suspended by the dover district conservative party, for making racist remarks,
The express says that 2 tory cllrs have no time for mr frost.
and the spokesperson for the local tories says these types of comments have no place in the tory party.
An investigation is now to take place on mr frosts's comments
will be interesting to see the outcome.
Mr frost, well known on this forum and another person who has been a member of lib dems, then labour, and now(for the moment anyway) a tory.
of course his marginal north deal seat the tories won't want to go for a bye election as they wouldnt hold the seat, so i suspect this will all be brushed under the carpet, but never forgotten.
but i would love to be proved otherwise

Well, I am disappointed to say the least. I have read what the Telegraph has had to say and have the link, but I am too disheartened to put it here. Sad, very sad.

oh yer howard, he was a very active lib dem, for many years, then joined labour for a short while, before joining his present party(the tories)
quite honestly if the comments are correct then the tories are welcome to him

I wondered when it would be discussed on here, Facebook seems to be a common link in a lot of this type of story. Not surprised re this incident when I think back to the postings Mr Frost made on here, bad publicity for the Town.

MARTIN;
I'm sure the local conservative party will bear these comments on how it has affected Dover and we can look forward to strong action being taken.

Not sure but the extract from Bob's facebook page posted in "the Mail online" paints another forumite in a fairly poor light too

there seems to be 2 choices, sack him and have a election or back him and hope it blows over.

to take your second option will only show the tories to be happy at such comments
and leaves the party wide open
i think they will have to take option 1

Howard at #3 - "i saw the comments on facebook and am not surprised that they have provoked outrage."
As Ross hints, not much outrage in your reply, more of a wind up
ps, have a look at the authors of the article and be careful what else you say

can bob actually be sacked though, i would think that he may be suspended from the party but not from the council?
