of course people always jump to he was lovely, innocent etc but the police act on survanilence and had wanted him for a while from the mets report the truth will come come it always does in life and shows the real person anybody can be a nice showman .

The facts of the incident will be known to those involved at the time, it is a sad fact that the State, the media and commentators are happy to play about with half-truths or plain nonsense.
Had the concerned citizenry been adequately responded to on Friday we would not be where we are now.

im sure the police authority will have its own enquiry as will many other bodies
but as so many have said, no one can justify the looting/stoning etc
lets hope it all settles soon, and the situation can be resolved by all talking to each other

I see Helen T has removed her last post anyone know why.
Watching the pictures again on the news I fail to see what these riots have to do with the original killing by the police it is just an excuse for complete lawlessness.
I doubt if the looters even know about the original cause and are professional lay-abouts who have no intention of working if they can help it.
These young white and black youngsters who have a permanent chip on their shoulder, are in knife wielding gangs and are involved with drugs. I hasten to add I know not all young black men are like that but too many are.
These looters are using any excuse to steal what they can where they can, I just hope that their innocent friends' homes were not among those that were mindlessly set alight but it would be rough justice if their homes were.

talking??? cor wake up the younger ones of the riots want revenge and are very angry im unsure what they want but doing this to thier own citys aint the way to get help or respect

There will have to some strong talking in the future but there must be action first.
It has nothing to do with revenge it is pure greed and the mindless desire to trash , demolish and steal, in many cases from their own 'countrymen', I use that term as a generalisation.

my 10 quid mobile phone does the job for me, buy a new one every two or three years.
i feel sure that i could organise a riot on mine if i was so inclined.
i wonder what brits on holiday re thinking about events here, in 1981 i was on holiday in the tyrol and came across a newstand selling german language papers.
all had the headline "rioten" with pics of burning premises.

My #142, is in response to Keith (#140) stating a small thing as fact when it is hardly creditable that anything about the original incident can be publicly known.
Helen's post that she has removed did not consist of anything that would move the matter along, she was responding to something I had written...so I have removed my response to her. Fairs fair. :)

Tom you are very anti establishment. I am curious as to your reason for this? Fair play if it's not up for discussion, understandable we are strangers. I had a longer post than the one you saw but what's the point? This is a mere discussion on a forum and is not going to influence anything that is happening to my friends and family in London. It's an awful situation that is yet again revealing this 'blame culture' Britain has become. Let's just hope they get board soon.

Police have revealed two teenagers were arrested in Kent this afternoon for allegedly using Facebook and Twitter to incite a riot.
Officers swooped on the 18-year-olds from Folkestone following concerns about postings on the social network sites.
The pair, a boy and girl, were taken into custody at Folkestone Harbour at around 1.30pm and are currently being quizzed.

I have just been told that Westwood closed two hours early this evening because of the threat of trouble and more youngsters than usual in the area. How true this is I do not know.
