Cameron blames Children without Fathers and Schools without disciplene
Milliband blames Bankers and MP`s for failing to set a better example for Society.
When the Post-Motem has run its route Cameron will be exposed as being totally and utterly out of touch with reality....in his own little world of comfort and financial stability.untouched by cuts future or present.
Theresa May rowing with Cameron for bring in Bill Bratton, with Boris over Police numbers.Boris rowing with Cameron.Theresa May and Duncan Smith.Clegg rowing with Cameron,Theresa May over directly elected Police Commissioners Police rowing with Cameron.Theresa May over every move they make.
Cameron`s Leadership....Non existant.......whilst the clock keeps ticking!

i think you are mellowing reg, normally you refer to the prime minister as flashman.
or is it that you think that his days are numbered and that you feel sorry for him?

Has D.Cameron lost it!! What does it say, going to another country for advise for what has happened over the last week. He needs to give back and give our police more powers on the streets. Not wait till it's to late again!!

Cameron praises riot sentences past out.! Pickles support kiss of death.Top lawyers say many sentences will be drastically reduce on appeal.Another public expense.Post-Mortem will reveal all.
There is no place in Justice for political expediency.
Cameron keeps up his record of bad judgement.U turns ill-conceived policies and the Big Society plans are in ruins.
Flashman`s body language has changed. His face now has a touch of doubt! Coulson affair deepens and continues to resurface at regular intervals. The piranha`s are cleaning his feet at present!Watch this space.

Cameron has `set himself up to fail`with yet another pledge to turn around the lives of the country`s 120,000 most troubled families by 2015.Even with the best will in the world,it`s not going to happen. As for some of the PM`s more draconiian gimmicks, these, too,may end up rebounding on him.Harsh remedies may chime with the counry`s current vengeful mood, but attempts to put them into practice are likely to run into legal obstacles and divide,``even jeopardise``,the coalition.

The idea is, that many people who are now in custody for rioting, even if they get an appeal through after the initial sentence and have a few months taken off, will not be let off lightly if they are caught again committing a crime.
They know this, or will know it once the judge has spoken, and after having spent a spell in prison.
These people now have a criminal record, many of them are probably sorry, so the idea is, to make sure as many of them are brought to justice and as few as possible get away with it by going undetected.
The Police will be probably examining films in months to come, to find the culprits. In this sense, Gov. has got the message over, that there is no amnesty for what happened.

I hope you are right Alexander.
People must not get away with this. As has been seen, it wasn't just the hard-up people, well-educated and employed were in there; not just one colour either, black and white together; not just males, girls and guys at it.

It's becoming critical. The discipline of all prisons is only achieved by co-operation between the officers and the inmates. Should that balance be upset then the inmates will riot similar to Hull and Strangeways riots many years ago. If you think that some nicks only have 1 officer on 'slipper' duty per wing per night guarding anout 250 inmates you can see how things can go badly wrong.
May have to look at old army barracks for non violent offenders, tagging, community service ,suspended sentences or heavy fines for those in a position to pay ie white collar crimbo's,employed offenders etc.

certainly prison officers will be at risk with further over crowding.
i really don't think the government has thought this through.
