What is wrong with that, I was asked what party I was in ,and I told them,They then asked more about myself and I told them.
I do not mine what they call me,let me write this again for you,and this again was on my last by-election leflets.
At Local Level, we in UKIP are effectively independent and can therefore put forward your views instead of having them"Shot down"by the Party machine. This was wrote by the UKIP head office not me. If you look at any of my Nomination papers you will see I am standing as Vic Matcham.
I do not mind if the impression that I am standing for UKIP comes over,
Why should I!.

no need to be so touchy vic.
the river parish council website names all councillors without mentioning any party.
the t.v. broadcast gave the impression you were representing ukip on their council.
i feel sure that river residents would not be impressed by that.

Howard,Sorry I am not touchy sorry if it came over that way, please aske anything you wish at anytime,And what you say is true. The last thing I am thinking about at council meetings is UKIP,All I am thinking about like the rest is what we can do for the parish,it has nothing to do with any party we might be or not be in.

The issue now is whether the parties in national and local Government can deliver their promises, but it seems that with unemployment rising all the time, no prospect of a better future, financial reductions of the spending budgets, people are loosing confidence in the politicians.
It will be interesting to see what the other party-councillor candidates have to offer in their campaign running up to May. All three main parties either have been until recently, or are, in the government, and either cannot or will not offer something new.
But if they do, we'll see soon, as May approaches. The only way Vic can challenge other candidates is by having popular views concerning Dover, which appeal to the people, and offer an alternative.

I Think those last postings from VIC and ALEXANDER it realy is the sound of defeat.
VIC saying if he didn;lt win any seats as long as turn out was higher he would be happy
that's as good as already giving up the fight.
Then alexander saying voting apathy will continue therefore vic will lose on both counts.
Maybe it's time vic to move on
get on with getting healthy
take your away on weekly holidays
spend more time at home.
But said all this before.
over to you vic,,,,,,,,,,,,

You are twisting my words,I did not say I did not want to win seats, but if I did not then I would be happy to know that the turn out was higher in all the seats I am standing,by the way I will add to that by saying I will get the mim/of two seats

Keith, apathy in Dover concerns the elections in general; people have massively abandoned the ballot box.
Vic, remember your allegience to UKIP and stand in as many areas as you can!

Tom, the vast majority of Dovorians do not vote!
In numbers of voters, even to get a 40% vote on a 15% turnout would be like an 8% vote in a 75% turnout.
Apathy carries the Day!

Alexander twas this very fact that brought me to my Diver dalliance. I too am much concerned with voter apathy, both chronic and acute.
