Well that is the earlybird ladybird

Nice little plant too spring is definitely springing forth Howard.
Here is a pic of the sun going down last night...just behind the gasworks...no not really but just behind our equivalent to the gasworks...Burlington House!! and of course Western Heights. The pic looks more autumnal than springlike wot with all the birds on the wing and so forth, but no it was definitely taken last night.
The ploughman homeward plods his weary way..

Fantabulous photos there Howard
I was down at the Seafront yesterday with my daughters who were here to celebrate Mother's day with me, a nice sunny day it was too, though a tad cold. The kiosk wasn't open and as we had Fifi with us we just wanted to sit on the beach with a cuppa, shame it wasn't open for Mothers Day.

no mullet yet brian.
that surprises me colette, sunday is the big "let's go for a walk" day even without the mother's day bit.
the kiosk was doing good business the tables round the back were all taken when i went past.

Lovely pictures
Why do we never see pictures like those used to promote Dover, the marina show Dover has so much more to offer than just the Castle and the White Cliffs.

Don't worry Jan, they'll be in next year's White Cliffs brochure, it's just that no-one will ask Howard's permission or give him payment or credit if Paul's experience is repeated!

very dry ray, jan they do use photos of the marina for publicity but always have burlington house in the background.
i reckon they would do better to take them with snargate street at the back.

Can see you have been very busy with that trusty camera of yours again Howard, some lovely pictures of the marina and seafront.
And i'm sure those mods would not have left such immaculate looking scooters unattended for long.

not a cloud in the sky this afternoon
not many people know that dover plays host to the annual seagull headbutting the jetty competition.
here are the two finalists.
the eventual winner.
even the gateway residents got into the continental mood.

One of the Jacob's sheep across the railway line from us has just had a really pretty lamb, keeps hiding behind a bush so no photo opportunity yet.

don't tell brian its location, he'll be down with his chefs hat on, a barbecue set and a jar of mint sauce.

A few Spring pictures - all from Romney Marsh.
This is the Romney Rhino Bird. They live in trees and twitter away quite happily until someone gets too close .... then they swoop down and you're lucky not to get squashed. Fortunately for me half a packet of HobNobs and a Snikkers bar saved me.
(not really ..... this was at Port Lympne)
