Sun's out, crocuses in full flower, birds singing and buzzards are back over the nature reserve. Unfortunately this little fellow got his satnav misprogrammed when looking for a pond to find a mate! And he had half an inch of ice keeing him in.
He's inthis small tub catching the drips from my outside tap.

had a toad in my garden last year, mowing the grass something jumped just as the blades were cutting the last bit.
stopped and saw what it was so i went in to get a camera not expecting it to be there when i got back.
surprisingly it posed for photographs until i picked it up and moved it away so that i could finish.

Ah lovely pix there lads above...love the quip about the Hound of the Baskervilles...jeez yes indeed last night had a haunted tone about it, what with the swirling mists and the low down drone of the harbour electronic fog pulse...bleep it goes, bleep again, bleep all night...but somehow it doesnt disturb, it just reminds you of haunted souls lost in the fog! And yes ..every now and then you throw a furtive glance over your shoulder to make sure The Hound isnt there...
Well done Ted, an exceptional one of the Egret there.
This could be a good thread...will give us all a chance to add our Spring pictures over time. Great to see the shoots of recovery there.

Not much colour here but I still love them, loads of them around Lydden church.
I posted a picture of these three in Howard's big thread (one is hiding behind the bush), this shows them in an even more precarious position above the railway line today - they love it here even though they've got hundreds of acres of nature reserve to feed on.
