I am fortunate that I live a few hundred yards from open fields and woods Sue and appreciate the chance to get out and enjoy the countryside whilst I am still able to.

The bluebells are now well out in the woods and the scent this afternoon was almost overpowering,
(hence the dodgy video taken on my 'phone)!

I really miss being allowed back over the border to visit old haunts. A great picture WGS, was it taken on the cliffs above St Margaret’s bay?

No, BW. From above Langdon Hole. I'd say, roughly, from here:

Earlier today............
..........sorry for imposing yet more bluebells on you but they are really outstanding this year. The hedgerows are also full of them.

Wild cabbage. Possibly. (Bit blurred: strong breeze.)

Wild cabbage it is, you should pick some of the flowering stems open and unopened and use them like sprouting broccoli. Delicious

Never occured to me, RB. But there's never been a better time for a bit of foraging.
Ref #356. The other half called it a weed, BW, and gave it the shakes.

Well possibly, BW. I'm sure I've only ever seen crab apples up that way, but I'll keep an eye out in the autumn (other eventualities permitting, of course).

Another day in the garden in glorious sunshine. Tomato plants, grown from seed, now planted out in a grow bag in the greenhouse.
The runner beans are also making good progress and will be ready to plant out when the frosts have passed; they will be replacing a clematis that decided to expire this winter.
If the lockdown continues for any length of time perhaps lettuces in the hanging baskets might be a consideration!
