Thank you for the update Rodger.
I dare say is was a boon having Heather there with you, do you have others lined up to share some of the days with you?
I know it can be very wearing; the essential routine, the toing and froing and the long hours in your own company, although you are sure to have somebody on this site to talk to any odd time.
Perhaps the day is not too far off when Jean can be transferred closer to home, every day is a day closer to that, I'm sure. Take care of yourself, eat well and rest.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Hang on in there Roger, you're doing great in such difficult circumstances. As Tom says above, every day is a day closer to recovery & to when Jean comes back home, to continue getting stronger. Love, prayers & special thoughts are with you both & all the family xxxx

I have to tell you that sadly Jean lost her fight
and passed away just after 4pm today.
She put up a brave fight but just too weak to carry
on.
Thank you all for your support, it meant a lot.
I'm still in Manchester, but will probably come back Saturday.
Roger

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

So difficult to know what to say here, Roger and Jean were the most devoted couple i know - hate to use the past tense.
I can only say that all your friends here in Dover are thinking of you at this time and please don't hesitate to call on us if you wish to.
Jean has suffered so much with her quiet and uncomplaining way may she now rest in peace.

A very sad turn of events Rodger.
While I am sure you will miss Jean terribly, I am certain too that you will never be without her.
I have been aware of the deep love that you both shared from my earliest days here on the forum, and have often thought how truly fortunate you were. Such good-fortune shall surely live on.
