We are all aware of Jean's serious long term health problems, sadly she has had a turn for the worse. Last Saturday Jean was moved up to Manchester for very serious surgery due to be done on the Sunday/Monday.
Roger has e mailed me to say that it has been repeatedly deferred and is now down for Tuesday. To make matters worse there has to be another operation before to replace an intravenous feed line. Roger has been told to expect to be up there for weeks possibly months.
It goes without saying that after all she has gone through over the past decade(just to my knowledge) jean is at a very low ebb and Roger can only do/say so much to keep her in a positive frame of mind.

I wish them both all the best in their battle, I wondered why Roger has not been posting.

I am so sorry to hear that and hope all goes well on Tuesday, it must be even more difficult for them as Manchester is so far away. I have never met Jean or Roger but through Roger's postings I sort of feel I know them.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
