Sorry Howard you are correct.... teaches me to hurry.... blimey, I am normally so careful with figures, must have had something of a lapse in concentration. An example of why I don't do research Fridays after my early morning in Canterbury.

it's the obvious ones where we trip up the most barry.
not a great deal of money if the expected percentage send their tenners.

But it should cover a lot of their basic costs and that's something. I suspect that getting people on board is more important than the amount of dosh in this case.

Indeed it is hearts and minds and I'm sure that's why DHB have been holding their community meetings - to win them over.

i think most of the dover public have forgotten about the issue, we don't hear much from the people's port people so much now.
people sent their tenners in expecting to see more action.

Nobody has been sending in their tenners yet but we shall be asking them soon. Much has been going on behind the scenes but we can't afford to pay Bell Pottinger £15k a month to advise us on publicity to shout about it like the Harbour Board can.

A few have done Howard. The CoC are kindly allowing us the use of their offices, one reason why DHB cancelled their membership.

Natural thing for them to have done under those circumstances. Pity they couldn't somehow have kept a distance from both and then had a foot in each camp.
I think that's called sitting on the fence.

I would be delighted to send off a tenner to the peoples port when can I expect the letter ?

i thought they had been given the bums rush by the harbour board.
there was a lot of bad press on who they were representing.

#132, Reg we do not pay lobbyists yet our campaign is consistently eroding the DHB position. We do our own lobbying.

don't forget to put your case on here, every medium has to be explored so that people are aware of the arguments.

The presentation of the arguments to the public will shortly become of greater importance. Until now working with Government has been more important. Unlike DHB our resources are limited and we have to focus them where they are most effective.

Just re-read your #138 Howard, I missed the mild sarcasm first time. For God's sake, nobody wake Vic.
