Luckily the candidate came near the bottom in the pole if I remember correctly so was
not elected. I am surprised you do not know who I was referring to Howard.

This is the danger of forums, nudge nudge, wink wink, Chinese whispers, but unwilling to name "a known racist".
If the racist is "known" why the hesitancy, I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue who we're talking about. Post 64 muddies the waters, a backhanded suggestion that one of our elected representatives is racist.
Put up or shut I say, reputations can be easily tarnished by scurrilous accusations.

I find David's comments rather strange, he is the master at being downright rude to members but gets upset because I refuse to name someone.
I repeat I will not name the person however much he complains so maybe time to drop the subject which has now gone completely off topic so I will not comment any further.

For the avoidance of doubt it was Ben Glayzer that promoted Britain First, the BNP and English Defence League on his Facebook page making clear his views towards anyone that was not White British before the page was taken down. Since being elected to the District Council I believe he has down good things within his ward and presumably he has grown out of his previous views.

Thank you, far better to name the racist than potentially slur others

You might think them strange and yes, from time to time I am intentionally rude to people who I believe deserve it.
I'm still surprised that you lack the courage of your convictions, perhaps this "known racist" isn't actually that at all, its just a personal grievance you have.
Why not name "the known racist" - do you regret posting what you did?

Jan I think that's the problem with social media but also wanting people to post and when they do rip them apart. I understand now and HOWARD that's concerning over Ben whom I have worked with and I will directly approach him on his any views when I get 5 mins lol reading the posts again Jan's referring to the husband and wife team that the electorate rejected but Bended was elected and so to find out his latest views would be of concern and I understand it

I have met Ben a few times. He is certainly not racist. Pleased to think Mr Wanstall is finding it hard to drum up support in obtaining the Mayoral chain. Had the misfortune to walk behind him and his lady companion/ wife. My goodness, the poor lady was spoken to as if she was a servant. He was exceedingly rude and arrogant. Plus she nearly doubled over under the weight of bags she carried whilst all he carried was a very big head. A most disturbing show of his true colours. A gentleman he most certainly is not.

I think the residents in his ward might not agree with you Sue. Too often too little was what I was told.

My advise would be to double check your sources they have misled you in the past!

I think not. Too many to be bias and mainly the same complaint. I have nothing to loose or gain as it's not my ward. But as regards getting stuck in and hands dirty, there are Cllr Brivio, Ben Glayzer and Georgetty Ripley who regularly get involved, literally upto their waist in water for 2 of them and I know 2 are not town council, just pointing it out. Cllr Rix has helped several projects. It is what is expected from Cllrs. Lead by example. The town could do a lot worse than having Cllr Rix do another year.

Any links re Cllr Rix, he has done a full time job and been busy as Mayor. Talking a good job & doing it is quite different.
