howard
the 3 candidates were in your road today together with others from canterbury college, all wanting to see rid of the conservative administration,
labour has been active for 4 weeks
to date my leaflets are
tory 2
labour 3 plus a national ed milliband thingy
no others
still waiting for sue's reply on her opinion as she made clear liar accusations
and her view on the tory leaflet whch has as many untruths in it
if she is the far minded person she would also condemn that one
but hey ho unlikely to do theres an election on lol

no doubt purdah will be invoked keith.
getting back to the leaflet, the one today from the reds was rather pitiful, they headed it "you spoke - we've listened".
people will look at that and see that the police use that slogan after nicking it from the supermarkets.
they mention tackling anti social behaviour and opposing cuts to police numbers, don't see how they can have any say in the latter, as for the former they could not do any worse than the current administration but do not say what measures they would take.

So what's happening in the other 42 seats Keith?
Life exists outside the Maxton. Priory,Elms vale area.
So revisit the Budget as we have said but JHG denies!!
Community policing is not DDC & we believe PCSO's ought to be enforcers , I'll ask again Keith how many Fixed Penalties have you issued?

paul is right about the policing, nothing d.d.c. can do about it.
i feel certain that officers and p.c.s.o's would like to do more but the police aristocracy rules and they prefer officers to fill out forms and compile figures that show the crime rate is under control.

Didn't know Keith could issue penalty notices in his job, if he can the old people are in for a shock

I have already written to the Manager of the Community Safety Unit at DDC who now is responsible for the Parking Services and CCTVs asking if he will allow the DDC Enforcement Officers to enforce more than just motoring offences and write to teyh Chief Constable asking if he will increase the powers of PCSOs.
He is looking into both.

how very optimistic of you roger!!
i seem to remember paul the fuhrer trying to raise the issue with the chief constable without getting any clear clarification.
there was also a comment from peter g a while back about a conversation he had with a leading policeperson about the same thing.
needless to say he was left in limbo.

Roger this was brought up by me at Scruity and pushed for by the Labour group that now they are enforcement officers could they enforce Litter and Dogs mess problems, and by the way your lot are about to reduce the hours and the amount of CCTV coverage as well.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

CCTV was bronze in your Gold Silver Bronze Tin scheme,so if it hasnt been reduced by now it will be shortly.

I thought we were not going into this "your lot said this, your lot did that" scenario again, so I won't rise to the bait.
Suffice to say that at the recent JTB meeting which "your lot" were so up in arms about, Nigel Collor had any removal of guard rails in Dover thrown out - Jim Hood seconded it.
No John Goodwin. no Gordon Cowan, so it was up to the Conservatives to save the day - and the railings.
Just to let you know too John, that the yellow lines you were so concerned about, are to be advertised on May the 8th.
Dover - moving ahead with the Conservatives.

selective memory from you roger, i put it down to election time.
the guard rail removals would have gone ahead without any debate on the subject, only romeo john going to the press and on here stopped it.

the meeting was rather irrelevant as a decision had been taken.
thankfully the action that was to have been taken was not.
