I speak as I find and sometimes it takes a "sledgehammer to crack a nutcase". The truth often hurts.
Secondly I would have made my remarks whether in Dover or Dhaka, not sure that you know where Dhaka is, but both places I have lived and worked in and hold dear to my heart as well as my birth place and current abode.

Howard, I am getting in some practice in the royalty stakes for when I am allowed to rub shoulders with our local blue-bloods. One must keep ones end up.

That cart that Horace uses was given to him by Dover Town Council,I know because it was me that gave it to him,via agreement with the Council
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

Alf - thank you for your support, it's most refreshing. Sometimes I feel like I am pi55ing into the wind.
Vic - Dhaka ,once spelt Dacca, is the capital of Bangladesh. I worked at the High Commission but as you will note diplomacy was never my forte as it often gets in the way of truth and God forbid that anyone in high places likes to tell or hear the truth.
I thank you for your good wishes regarding my health.

Marek - you are very welcome but I see my post has been removed. Maybe if more people were allowed to say what they feel as VM is apparently, we wouldn't have to put up with his rubbish. Oh well - maybe I will stop giving my opinions if they're going to be removed. Let him ruin the forum

Vic, any attempts to improve Dover are supported and approved of, and we have been at pains to say that, and to give a thumbs up and a Fair Play To Ye to all involved, but the fact is, mate, it is an eyesore and has the opposite effect to the one we want. And it would be good if the entire gamut of comments were heard and that poor old Marek didn't get it in the chops for being honest!

you said in your post that you expected your post to be deleted.

I did not see the removed post but Alf please keep giving your opinions, there are times when the voice of reason is needed even if it isn't heeded.
Well said Marek and Bern, shame you are wasting your breath with Vic, you know he is always right.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Thank you Jan and thank you Bern.
Howard my post was no worse than others you have allowed and although I expected it to be removed I had hoped that common sense would prevail and you would allow it. After all I was only saying what everyone else is thinking. If you continue to let VM post whatever he wants to then I do find it very annoying that you chose to delete my comments. What I said was not personal or insulting, I was merely stating the obvious, not that he would take any notice as Jan so rightly says. All the time you let him get away with his rubbishy and hard to read posts he will keep doing it. Still - you're in charge so I musn't argue.
However to Bern, Jan, Marek, Peter, Paul and Keith (and numerous others who agree) - I tried - but there you go

you know very well it was personal and insulting.
some posts we let go such as marek and vic going hammer and tongs, that is mostly banter.
marek has invited vic to go for a drink with him when he washes up in jersey.
vic can raise hackes with his populist views but he doesn't resort to personal attacks on fellow members.

Getting back to the subject of the thread, the backside which you now see from the seafront is even worse!

Thanks Ray
It is an eyesore - no matter where it is put
to be honest a 6'x10' shed would have looked much better

Replace it with a nice garden shed/summer house or even a "wendy house"
