all seems a very grey area when it happens on private land, another issue i know but zebra crossings in car parks are merely advisory.

As you have seen in the press I have been trying to get enforcement officers in the parishs I am on.I have been working on this now for some months now, it can be done and the costs are not that high,it can still be done by companys or the councils themselfs,I will say that I do not get much support for my plans yet,And I say again Yet,because the day is coming because of the police cut backs and the way they police the towns and parishs,we are going to have to do someing about policing our own patch if we are going live our life the way it should be.

reports on the radio news [heart] this morning, stated that a private firm will start dishing out fines for littering/dog fowling as from today for a trial period of 6 months,is this true.rather confusing this, has the contract with xfor been cancelled or has a another firm taken over.

sounds like the radio station were working on an old press release and didn't bother to check if it still applied.

you can still be fined as the Council still employ enforcement officers they used to be called parking wardens, also I believe Community wardens can pass on any details so can psco;s.

As I understand the parking wardens are being retrained as enforcements officers, and some of the Officers at DDC have also been able to fine people as well.My ex wife was fined for dropping her but, sorry cigarette butt and was fined,I asked for the death penalty but they fined her so a let off there.

Just glad the right decision was made in the end, harassment and intimidation would have done nothing for our Town centres.
