BCCI . money virtually all repaid, Icelandic Banks money being repaid. Bleriot Anniversary no loss to council tax payer. Xfor no financial exposure, payment is on results.

They are still reputational disasters, Paul, for those with long memories.

Has DDC heard of due diligence? Appointing a firm entering administration seems a very strange thing to do.

The event was funded by a private firm & done very well. The event made a loss , he lost his home & left creditors behind. Weather caused havoc with the Bleriot flights on the day.

Thank you,Yes it all comes back to me now. Back to the enforcment officers, does this set back now mean that Dover does not have any now walking around/? or will some other company take over that roll.?

The firm we dealt with was not in administration , there has been a switch in companies for their tax reasons & yes we do due diligence & we also appoint specialist consultants!!! to check on risk etc, value for money etc .

Its madness Paul, if this goes wrong DDC has egg all over its face, silly risk to take.
I agree with Cllr Cowan, its an unbelievable decision.
