Roger I have been told what you saw was Tower Hamlets very own Community Warden the brilliant Alison Beaumont,on her back says Community Warden, the Enforcement Officers I am told are wearing dark blue or black uniforms.

If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

canterbury city council are trialling a scheme over a four month period. in december warnings will be given to litter droppers, january through to march will see fines being handed out to offenders.
initially the city centre will be targeted then it is hoped the scheme will be extended to herne bay and whitstable.

So just to be clear on this, are the "Enforcement Officers" the existing chaps that we know and love so well, or are they a new group?

What might be meant by the fines being "up to £80"?
Could it be 1p per cigarette-end, and dog poo by the inch?

Now perhaps is the time to buy into Rain Mack and Trilby futures?

I keep looking for a G4S chappy but as yet to no avail. Perhaps I should be looking for an army uniform.

I would have thought they'd be more succesful without any sort of uniform.

The ones in folkestone do not have a very distinctive uniform, just the the fact there are 2 together makes them noticeable.
also the fact that one had a copy of "mein kampf" sticking out of his pocket.

As you know I am trying to get them in the parishs we need them just like the town does, but they will be our own officers if we can get agreement within the councils.

Morrisons car park is private property and would be outside the jurisdiction of council enforcement officials.

colin is thinking of community wardens, my understanding is that the scheme will start next month with town and parish councillors being briefed soon by ddc.

They need to get down the eastern end of the seafront. This area I believe is up to the council to clean. It is COVERED in dog poo. These dog owners should be named and shamed. It infuriates me, every bag and jacket I own has spare bags in it there is no excuse!
