 - Vic, the same personnel are still there. This is a matter for accountants & HMRC.

Peter , as you say history, BCCI was in the 1980-90's. It like Iceland was on the approved list of investment banks & recommended by Government departments & Treasury I believe. Due diligence done. Bleriot was not a DDC event. And yes I am aware of reputational jibes.

 - I don't think I want to comment on this further in public in view of contractual implications.

 I've noted the comments.

 - I think this was a very sensible thing to do - Shepway had also pulled their contract.

I'm not sure if there is another company that offers this service, but in the meantime, I believe more use will be made of our own resources to carry out this zero-tolerance on litter and dog-fouling.

 - At my meeting with DDC this came up, to me the reason the company is in difficulty is because the business model is flawed. The people who litter the streets are scroats, they won't have £75 and if taken to court are unlikely to pay it.

Well done to DDC for seeing the light, I maintain it reflects poorly on the people who signed the deal in the first place.

Surely the risk is on the company and not DDC, so their business model was poor to start with ?

 - My point exactly Paul.

So why did DDC waste valuable time and resources in the first place?

 - My point was that the companies own business model must have been poor to start with, to go into a business where they thought they could make a profit out of it
