Jan
The only thing is we can't blame the govt for people's choices to ignore the virus .
Yes the govt has made errors along the way
But we are where we are and a minority of Dover people have decided it's fine to be in tier 3

Let's hope the Christmas break gives Dover a reprieve that we so desperately need.
BBC reporting 557 per 100,000 today so that break hasn't happened yet

Us older ones still need to keep our selfs in and not mix, and for me that is easy

but it is not worth the risk of getting it.No one likes me

What 'guidlines' have 'people' not been following, and which 'people' have not been following them?
P.S. I'm not expecting a sensible answer to these questions.

Look at the Covid rates
Dover on top 5
As we open up for Xmas
Lots more will die
Long way off getting out of tier 3 if ever

If ever? Slight exaggeration?
Daily rates showing Dover down to 15th today. Still very high obviously.

I do not mind where we are on any list so long as the figures are going down and stay that way, I just wish the idiots out there who cause the high numbers would show some sense.

Do you mean the government, JH, or those getting PCR tested and keeping the number of 'cases' up?

I see the Chinese have now banned flights to and from the UK - almost a year too late!
Meanwhile INCREASE IN COVID "DEATHS PER MILLION" SINCE MONDAY
Germany 8.78%
Finland 7.95%
Denmark 6.18%
Norway 4.05%
Sweden 3.55%
UK 2.53%
France 2.37%
Netherlands 2.29%
Italy 2.28%
Belgium 1.68%
Spain 1.63%
Europeans are banning Brits but shouldn't Brits be banning the Europeans?

As I'm sure you know, percentages are only relevant if they all share the same starting base. An 8.8% increase of very little pales into insignificance compared to a 2.53% increase of quite a lot. It's a great argument when applied to pay restraint too!

One thing is for sure. The deaths and infections in Gemany have skyrocketed all of a sudden and it seems very plausible they have this new variant possibly more so than the UK.
Boris shocking his backbenchers with the 'out of control UK variant' speech to justify further civil liberty restrictions has badly backfired.

It's possible the Covid mutations are actually.
Virii aim to spread. If they kill too nay too quickly they spread less well. It may become just another cold virus eventually.
