I'm sure there are some bloody asides to that suggestion, but I can't think of one right now.

Well, regardless of where he goes, I've made sure my daughter knows the story, in fact I've told her not to trust anyone that says "I'm from your government and I'm here to help you" male or female!

I think that really tells the story of what your MP is all about , not open , try to hide stuff ..Roger Gale I have a little more time for , and think this was a lack of judgement .
But one days suspension shows how poor the set up in the house if commons is.
But having gone round there it's very out if date for today's set up, and some staff there don't understand that we pay there wages .

Why? It's very true not to trust anyone trying to help from any government!

My only concern is, although Dovers present MP isn't up to much, the alternative isn't much better , which means we are stuck with her.

Last time it was Charlotte Cornell, who was actually a strong candidate, yet lost over 7% of vote compared to the previous GE in spite of the Elphicke scandal.
I honestly find it worrying that none of the main parties are able to put up anyone of worth.

Under close questioning ms Cornell wasn't much better than the present MP
Certainly didn't have much support round here

I've raised this point on numerous occasions - but how on earth can someone be parachuted in at the last minute following various box ticking/quota exercises and expect to build up and identity and standing with the local community? I wish this was taken care of well in advance. We know when the next election is, so let's see an opposition candidate sooner rather than later...

I think Neil your party is going to put up the same candidate who failed miserably at the last election .
If not why is she still appearing as labours ex parliamentary candidate .
Why not select/elect the candidate now and start now to re connect
Instead I think they will stumble along and Judy hope people turn out .
Very risky strategy that has failed in the past .

It's actually rather worrying when you watch parliament and realise dust how dumb some of our MPs are.
Forget the politics, most of them I would not employ for a job in middle management.
With local councillors it's even worse!
Forget who said it but a lovely quote:-
"The United States I'd the only country in the world where anyone born there has a chance of being President.
But it's just a risk you take"
I'd like to think it was Dr Hunter S Thomson but I'm VERY biased and can't be bothered to Google!
