This chap committed crimes, he's gone away and is a has been, old hat. I am afraid I find some peoples obsession with this man rather hard to follow, where he lived, how much his house sold for, how much he has to repay etc. Who cares now?........I don't!
Sue's right, let's give it a rest.

He hasn't gone away. Still steering our current MP and writing her dialogue. He will be back and with plenty of money in his pocket.
Unfortunately the local electorate just don't seem to be able to put two and two together.

Quite funny really. I couldn't care less about the bloke. On one of the few occasions I ever got close to him, he told a neighbour of mine to eff off, leaving another hapless local Tory twerp to scurry around after him apologising to all and sundry within earshot. That was enough for me together with the fact that, in reality, he achieved liitle as a local MP and hardly ever seemed to be bothered with such fineries as holding surgeries.
His estranged wife is no better. Happy to support the party cause unfailingly, regardless of its toxicity. Take a look at her voting records and stance on the Cummings, Paterson issues if you don't believe me.
The amusing thing is that all the patronising 'give it a rest' guff comes from local Tories unable to accept the stain he's left on their party. It's still a subject of local interest. If you don't like it, then go and preach somewhere else.

There is undeniable logic that his shadow will linger, given that Natalie is the replacement. Indeed, you could argue that you can't have it both ways - she was chosen because she was his wife!

"Couldn't care less about the bloke"........... But still joining in whenever you can.
His wife is a waste of space and obviously still using the same writer as Charlie for her awful local releases.
I am not a "local" Tory and I find this continual "guff" from both sides of the political fence simply more about trying to score points and not letting the subject die.
His wife was chosen because I bet they had no one else lined up to take his place so she was the last minute replacement. Because the GE was virtually all about Brexit at the time a monkey would probably have won in this area if it was against the EU.

Keef, I completely agree with you, but my point is, we don't have to keep on and on about it. It's old news now.

And the good news is: we have a court system that deals with this kind of thing on our behalf, so we don't need to worry our pretty little heads over it.

I think the issue for me was the awful opinions from some on here that made sweeping statements about the male gender and insinuating
to me that all those who identify as male were possibly the same as our ex-MP.
Those opinions lost us a member of the forum as a result if I remember correctly.
It could have been anyone we were talking about and as as far as politics is concerned, that bit for me is irrelevant.
Happy to forget the person himself as like everyone else, I don't care, but it's highlighted some ancient and out of dates views from some that thankfully I'll be careful of in the future, not to mention those views will become history as time moves on.

You can't say that on here! The very fact that you've posted it renders it untrue apparently
