Driving through Whitfield this morning, there are numerous long strips of bare earth there now. It looks like an episode of Time Team!

According to the Dover Express, the digging at the bottom of Whitfield is the developer surveying, so I was right.

Vic, the developer is doing nothing illegal or contravening any regulations.

He needs to do the soil tests to enable him to submit plans for the detailed application -which is currently outline only.

As is routine the Application will be formally advertised and the Parish Council as always will respond no doubt.

I've seen or heard nothing that will not deal with the comments made by local residents re. location of commercial, premises & road layouts.

i see they are cracking away on the sholden site, 200 new houses eventually.

Thank you Mr Watkins,but it is well know my veiws and the parish council. I was not having a dig just returning on post 222.
