Connaught Barrack would have made an idea site with easy road access (rather than down one restricted road) and well away from a flood risk !

And patients could have got most of the way there from the town centre with a small extension to the castle cable car link

Vic, it is called a conversation and threads like this keep the forum from going stale.
Not an OAP meeting more like a pub about an hour before closing time.

It is not just the Buckland site that is currently going the rounds but a major review of services is just about commence which will have impacts on what services are to be provided across the three major hospital sites of WHH Ashford, QEQM Margate and K&C Canterbury. The merry go round enters another phase.

there is a g.p's roadshow in market square tomorrow that few know about, the idea being that we list our priorities.
all rather ironic as i had a letter through this morning that my appointment with the neurology chap at margate on the 24th of december has been put back 2 months, no reason given.

It will be very good to see the new hospital up and running with ex services and more staff will be needed and that is a good sigh to.

Six weeks ago my mother was given an 'urgent' appointment for a heart scan on Wednesday of this week. She died suddenly on Monday evening, less than 2 days before the appointment.

So sorry to hear of your loss. You must be so saddened by the circumstances, too. Tragic.
True friends stab you in the front.

Oh Peter, I am so sorry to hear this.
A wonderful Lady - I remember Jean and I had lunch with you, Kathryn and your Mum at the Yew Tree at Barfrestone.
