It does not work that way, workers pay still goes up even that it is small at this time, but overseas workers, which I think should be send back now times are the way they are, will work for less then UK workers, but that brings all our standed of living down, and that is wrong in my way of thinking. Most overseas workers send most of their wages back to their own family,I done the same when I worked both in Germany and France, but in doing that,it does not help the UK we need to see workers spending their wages in the UK.The overseas workers I have worked with in the pass do work and earn what they get,so does the Britishworker so both the same but ones takes funds out of the UK and the other does not.

As far as I know PaulW does not sit on the finance committee of EKHUFT, so like all the rest of us he will have to wait for the details to emerge.

Nice try....but as leader of the Council you are on first name terms with people such as Stuart Bains CEO of EKHT
and they are just a phone call away.....

the planning application has still not gone in to the council giving the impression that not much will be happening very soon.

You can not blame that all onto the N.H.S. part of it the council must put their hands up to.

Under Mr Watkins `watch`as Leader of the DDC is aware his planning / regeneration department ``failed``to act on official
notification in September 2007 that the Maison Dieu Hospital site was on a flood plain and had no chance of being built there.
Dover District Council are responsible for delaying our Hospital being built for two and a half years.............
Mr Watkins should not throw stones when he lives in a big green house...........

Again Mr Hansell you can not put all the blame on the council.as you know I went along to all the meetings over the years got up had my say about what was going on. I am sorry to say I think you are trying to put all the blame down to a party and its leader and you know that is not true. But all in the pass now, lets look at the new build and as I said try and get more services into it.The pass is the pass, forget it and move forward,

Howard #49 very true, it is hardly the council to blame this time.
To put it bluntly a stupid cock-up by the NHS side that yet again delays the building of our new so called hospital, this is turning into a complete farce.

I know as much as anyone does and in some cases more, sorry to say you are still looking in the pass and in doing that trying to what can be seen as geting your own back. Just forget it all,and move on ,or that might just hold things up again.WE both are to old to carry on in that way ,just work to see it build and open, the MP will say it was done and he played a big part in doing that, and we both know that is not the whole true etc, but does it matter? Mps come and they go. but we stay here till the end.

A lot of fault lies with the 'do-gooders' who stuck their oars in....overcoming a bit of water in Maison Dieu should be nothing a project these days...
Been nice knowing you :)

Totally agree Paul.
Also, the idea of taking away the birthing units (and probably other facilities) had to go through a consultation exercise and now that has completed, the plans should be with DDC pretty soon I'd have thought.

Just a comment Vic. (and I hope you aren't offended), when you talk about things that have come and gone, the word is "past" not "pass".
