my reading of it is that it will be purely an out-patients hospital/clinic, better than what we have now though.
i do hope that there is 24 hour accident and emergency service.

not true services from deal are planned to move to the new buckland hospital.
i know because i signed a petition to stop it at deal hospital this week, the lady serving coffee at the "friends" shop was most insistent.

Yes Vic you are correct at the moment on returning from Germany where the injury occured not even my own doctor wanted to know so it was off to Ashford. While the new facility will not offer me the surgery i require it could have done all the tests in Dover.

All the best tom, it will be a godsend for a lot of people if they can have a consultation in dover before going elsewhere.

found out this week that neurology is the worst for waiting lists. went to see my quack about having no feeling in the last two fingers of my left hand.
as per usual he gives me a thorough going over and decides that i need to see a neurologist, tried to book it while i was there and it is approx a 3 month wait to see one in east kent.
bit of a worry as i am finding it nigh impossible to scratch my backside and blow my nose at the same time.

something keeps bugging me on this hospital issue.
way back when reg and lorraine were at the forefront of the campaign with paul the fuhrer and chas(previously gwynn) involved, the announcement that 21 million quid was available for a new hospital sent everyone into raptures.
we had visions of doctors, nurses and beds to care for the afflicted.
we still have the same money to spend but seems we will be getting a few healthcare assistants with a first aid box.
