So are you implying then Jan that UKIP and/or it`s supporters are in fact "racist" in the same way that Hitler was of course? I actually find your connotations equally to be disgusting and offensive. What a ridiculous statement!

Peter, Phil the greek is really German.
This country has a proud history of racism, genocide and slavery, so no need to knock Herr Hitler, Francis Drake would do.
Come to think of it, a lot of EU members have a similar history.
If the general public really think UKIP are going along those lines they must want their bumps feeling. It annoys me just as much as anyone when the 'Bulgarian hordes' story keeps getting repeatedmbut no more so than some of the other repetitive posts.

Jan,post #119....I believe your post is offensive to me. My Father volunteered, not called up for the army in 1939 and fought for our country against the Nazis for 6 years...If I was around in those times,I would do the same....I loathe all forms of fascists, whether they are left wing or right wing......I know you have a issue with a member of UKIP,who sometimes posts on the forum but do not smear me with your intolerant ignorant remarks.

The implication is not there at all Brian, apart from you, Keith or perhaps others etc., trying to score political points and making something out of nothing. I have asked a simple question and as yet I have not had an answer. I will ask again, do you consider that either I, UKIP, or it`s supporters to be racist? I have previously simply given my own personal view, rightly or wrongly, as to how I see things regarding certain people to be classed as "English" ( not that my opinion particularly matters one way or the other ) For what Jan is worried about possibly taking place in the future, whilst also inferring that my views are akin to that of Hitler, I would guess that your answer would have to be "yes". If so, we can discuss this matter further, if not, then end of story. I`m afraid that any so called "implication" is in your mind simply because you want it to be.
My father also spent six years in the war fighting against Hitler and all he stood for and suffered for it as a consequence. Do you really think that I would want to be a member of a party that had similar ideals to Hitler? UKIP is a democratic libertarian party, no more, no less!

I am still fuming,I will give you all some insight into how I feel..When I was a member of the Labour Party in 1995, I was selected to be a candidate for Swale District Council, I overheard the Deputy Leader of the Labour group say to the Labour group Leader, prior to my selection,Shame about his Surname, sounds P*K*Y to me.....I despise racialism in all its forms.

john
you have to be very careful in your choice of words, posts 113 and 118 give credence to ukip haters and there are many.
your comment about where people are born was used a lot by the late sir bernard manning, no problem there as he was
a comedian not a politcal activist.
i don't believe ukip to be a racist party although i would imagine a few have slipped in, the blues have had many over the years.
british muslims that turn out to be terrorists are still british and are subject to the same disdain as any indigenous pure white english person that is guilty of an atrocity.

Considering that certain people on this forum may think that I have "racist" ideals, here is a picture of my wife with her mum and dad. She is from South East Asia, and anybody that knows anything about that particular part of the world also knows that when you marry the daughter, like it or not, you also marry the family! Incidently, I love her family as much as I love her. Hardly the actions of someone with a tendency towards racialism I would have thought?

I did not say either of you were racist or like Hitler but I would be worried that should UKIP ever get to run the government they might gradually start picking on various groups.
Peter, my remarks are no more intolerant or ignorant than some of yours, I will add I can only judge SOME of the UKIP members by what they post on here.
You have a very beautiful wife John, I will now bow out of this discussion.

Thank you Jan and Peter.
Incidentally Jan, I can assure you that the only groups that UKIP will be "picking on", should we ever get the chance, will be the likes of the Romanian gangs that are responsible for 92% of all the ATM cash point frauds in London, in addition to the Roma pick pockets and the "illegals" etc., etc. In other words, those that should not legally be here and those that are detrimental to our own way of life, safety and security. Personally I can`t see a lot wrong with that?

bit of a pincer movement here with peter and john, originated by hannibal and perfected by general schwarskopf in the gulf war.
reg and keith were good at this before reg aligned himself with charlie.
still never mind.
