261 didn't work very well, only today a romanian m.p. confidently predicted that 100's of 1000's of his countrypersons will be joining us from january onwards.
not from romania but from spain and italy where they claim that they are subject to prejudice and hatred from the indigenous persons there.
not much use to me, my garden shed is already fully booked up.

Farage was talking about the Syrians who are homeless and genuine refuges, I would much prefer them to the migrants from Europe who already have a home in their own country.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

clever move from nigel there differentiating the plight of the genuinely needy from the economic migrants, he outwits the establishment constantly.
pity about his hunting with dogs stance.

Nigel is right. We should do our bit for those genuinely in need.
268, Keith I don't get the first part of your post. I don't think I have been inconsistent here.

Watch your bankers, not our beggars, says top Roma
Britain should be far more concerned about bankers taking billions of pounds than Roma begging for coins on the streets, an adviser to Romania's Prime Minister has said. In an interview in Bucharest as British politicians prepare for the lifting of migration restrictions on New Year's Day, Damian Draghici said that most Roma wanted to integrate and called for them to be given a chance in Britain
The Government will announce today that it will charge foreigners for A&E treatment for the first time. Mr Draghici, however, turned his fire on the bankers as he tried to downplay fears of a sudden influx of arrivals or of a damaging impact from those who chose to enter Britain He told The Times:

There are plenty of Syrians here that have found they do not like it and are trying to leave and try their luck elsewhere in Europe, unfortunately they are not allowed to!

Farage has always seemed to me to be a very reasonable bloke. The party's stance is anti-EU membership, not anti-immigration and his statement (calling it an outburst is a bit strong!) that we should let in a few hundred Syrian refugees as part of our international obligations is quite consistent with that.
Farage's main weakness is that his charisma has attracted an eclectic mix of extremist oddballs and fruitcakes to the party, with whom he seems unable or unwilling to be ruthless.

mixed signals here with the claim that bulgarians are interested in coming here to work yet agencies are setting up to advise on exploiting the benefit system.
