interesting thought there.
just trying to picture the scene, paulb on his knees as her majesty wields the sword.
"arise sir paul(forum fuhrer) boland, not heard of you myself but the lord chamberlain(posh barry) said it was alright as that other paddy, bof geldoff already had one."
don't quote me on that though, just conjecture.
Alternatively, Her Majesty might make our beloved Obersturmfuhrer a member of the Order of the Garter. Reports reaching the Palace tell of his ponchant for wearing one while parading his mighty zoom in public.

Sid
Perhaps you would be better off applying to be the towns counsellor to all those Dovorians that are broken hearted about the current state, demolition and plight of our lovely Royal port town

Marek
I think therefore I am (not a Tory supporter)

Vic, I am still waiting a reply too, to be able to work within the UKIP. Keep up the cause!
Barry, thanks! Still, I will state that I came from the Shires to Dover as a lad, from Hampshire, where my Dad was born, although his parents and their parents and their parents... are from Dover! I didn't come to Dover from any other place or country other than the Shires!

Sorry, the button pressed three times, it must have been an enthusiasm beyond my control, but the computer froze just then, so I pressed it three times, and look what happened! Anyway, thanks, I would like to be there, and if you drop me a line in time, I will see how I can get there on foot or with the bus, depending where your house is

They are at it again ,I have already put this on Barrys blog but will do it again.
The new "Axeman"Danny Alexander and his wife ,s 62 freebie trips on the Taxpayer.
New Treasury minister Danny Alexander has charged taxpayers more than £13000 pounds for hie wife to make 62 journeys beween London and Scotland.
Why do we have to pay for that?

It is time now to think about next years local elections for both the town and the Dover District Council.
First thing to think about are you happy in the way both the councils perform, are they doing the best that they can do for our Town and the District,if that is a no then now is the time to think about how to get change, two ways of doing it (1) Is just vote for a person not a party with local councils I find it better to look at the candidates standing and not the party they are in.
(2) Is to think about being a candidate yourself and you can stand for both the District and town council at the same time.
If you would like to try next time round please email myself at
victormatcham@yahoo.com and I will help you in anyway I can.
I must say that I do think we need new faces at both the District and town council, please do not get me wrong we do have some good cllrs on both of them but also we have some that are no good at all. But unless we get more of the public puting up for the job as a cllr than nothing will get done and we end up with the same old faces doing or not doing the same old things. As you know my pet hate is the planning office at the District Council I do not think they are working for our town but unless we get newfaces on the District Council this will carry on.
So please have a good think about it and if you would like to try for yourself please get back to me. Thank You. Vic Matcham

i think that vic is right over the issue of voting for the individual at town and district level.
unfortunately some of the best talent is either too busy trying to pay a mortgage and working long hours or they do not feel empathy with any political party.
it is very rare that an independent wins through unless they have a lot of spare money to throw at a campaign,

There is no need to throw alot of money at the locals just some cash for leaflets and you can get about 10.000 for £100 pounds and we would help with that, but time is needed and if you join up with us you will get the backing of a party but act as a independent with no partys lines to follow. So you would have all to gain.
So, if I stood it would be as UKIP, UKIP Indpendent, Independent UKIP or Independent, I'm confused Vic. Also, what did you mean by, "you can get about 10.000 for £100 pounds and we would help with that"?

Ok Sid just for you,we can get 10.000 leaflets printed up for about £100 or less for a local Campaign.
As a party we have no party lines a candidiate would have to follow like the other candidiates if they are a blue or a red, already we have seen in the Town council the reds fall out with each other, because some Cllrs did not toe the line with their own party. That would not happen with UKIP.
Hope you can understand now Sid. Thank you for your post.
