Well, you didn't quite make it Vic, but you went for it full on and I commend you for that.
Rest your knees now and take Lesley on a holiday.

Well done, Vic! You stood and fought a battle! Against overwhelming odds and a BBC and co. that only gave coverage to three parties! So all the more you had to fight!

Let's remember the thin red line! The campaign for Democracy goes on, and Shire Regiments never surrender! Whoever governs must be confronted with people's concerns, and must remember they were voted to serve the interests of the British People, and not the private interests of millions of people coming over and colonising and having equal rights in employment in Britain. The Constitution should be clear, I personally will investigate into it, and see if certain e.u. laws are actually legal or illegal, when millions of people can march in and grab work and benefits. The government about to come in should remember by whom they were voted and for whose interetsts!
Alexander, Vic probably knows the thin red line was NOT a Shire Regiment, In fact it was Jock regiment, the 93rd Highland Regiment. Aided by Royal Marines and Turks they repulsed a Russian cavalry attack at the battle of Balaclava in the Crimean War.

you can be such a scholar sometimes sid.
funny you should mention the crimean escapade, there is a permanent exhibition in the regimental museum up at our castle that really gives atmosphere to that skirmish.
they even have copies of the times reporting back what was going on there.
Thanks for that Howard; I may take a trip up there and check it out. Sounds very interesting.

alex,he has gone to shire on the borders.

Alexander, the 93rd Highland Regiment is NOT a Shire regiment. I didn't say there were no shires on Scotland.

This is not the end of UKIP in Dover, but only the start,we did not do as well as we was hoping but we can and will build on that. What we need is new members and younger ones,so please if you wish to join up please email me ,We will be all going back to the polls soon, and with the right funding UKIP in Dover will be there, but we do need funding unlike the big partys we do not have a back up to help.Thank you
Vic, it will take UKIP a lifetime to get from under 2,000 votes to the 20,000 required for UKIP to get a seat in HoP. Just look at how long it has taken the Greens. Not saying UKIP should pack up, but just trying to inject a bit of realism into the situation.
When we are both long gone, our grandchildren might be the one's to give UKIP the breakthrough, but by then Europe won't be the issue it is today as the anti-European Luddites will have died out, literally.
