manifestos count for nothing at the hustings, neither does europe or law and order, they are for us to get worked up about.
people vote on the feel good factor economically, in other words who will hit their pocket the least.

Keith s 264 classic new labour party
MEPs vote to keep world beating salaries and allowances
Conservative and Ukip MEPs voted for the cost-saving proposals but Labour and Liberal Democrat members either voted against or abstained.

I believe Barry looks at politicalbetting.com, a survey there claims 19% of tory voters at the GE intend to vote UKIP.

David, Tory support has already dropped 20% since May 2010.
It's essentially to do with the wish for an EU in/out referendum.

I think you people need to wise up
You can con all the people some of the time but you cannot con all of the people all of the time
Ukip manifesto will be very attractive to the British working class
It will remind them of old labour before the college boy money loving scum takeover.

Keith, once again, as previously, I've never used the term "protest votes" for any party!
This is your term, so how come you feel the need to attribute it to my vocabulary?

In a proper voting democracy and not the first past the post floored system we have in the UK
Ukip would have 40 mp,

Yes but Keith, that post has naught to do with protest voting.
It is a decision of many people to support a party that campaigns for an EU exit, not a protest.

Neither did I say UKIP won't win one seat, Keith.
But that, unless the Tories come to an agreement with UKIP, the Tories won't win enough seats to form the next government.
