#109: nice post Peter, I think we all have to think about what things might be like for others.
That being said, I don't think everyone should just bash Barry for his views; we may not fully understand his circumstances either.
Perhaps here lies the true legacy of Thatherism.
PS. Barry, I don't think Louise Mensch would agree with you on Blair and Thatcher. That being said, I doubt she really cares.
I reiterate, here lies the legacy.

I agree Peter, but that doesn't mean we are right.
Barry likes her though, and for this reason I thought it to be a good reference.

She has a decent pair of legs. Barry has a good eye.

Howard - a playground is what come into mind not a saloon bar.
lets re-cap a bit.
Unable or unwilling to participate in the discussion properly Jan, among other off subject jibes, tells me I don't have an open mind. I respond to say her opinion of me does not matter (or indeed neither does mine of her) and I also said that there are many others on here with closed minds. A balanced and true statement not aimed at any individual.
Jan and her little friends come back with their jibes and digs, I am the one accused of being rude, while ignoring what was said to me. Our so called moderator comes in with his slanted 'non-moderated' jibe as well.
As I said - like children in a playground. 'My friend can insult you but if your respond you are nasty, nasty rude boy.....' I can just hear stamping feet and pouting lips that goes with it 'leave my friend alone'. It is not the first time that such child-like behavior has blighted this forum.
A bit of proper moderation might help matters.

"Jan - I speak my mind and I will not pretend. You don't actually know me from Adam hence I do not really care about your opinion of me as it is worthless as a result. As, to be fair, would any opinion I might expressed of you for the same reason. There are many closed minds on this forum"
Very insulting and hypocritical remark to make at Jan and then to go on and be so oblivious to Howards attempt to reason with you, indeed you "spit you're dummy out" and then accuse him of acting childish is priceless coming from you.
How can you have an open mind or be objective, if you do not read the post's properly?
It is blatantly obvious that you do not read my posts properly, which is why you continually offer bizarre and boringly repeated nonsense replies to my posts.
DT1.
I do not bash Barry for his views or his financial skills, which I have often praised.
I do object to his manner, his manner's and his disrepect to me and other posters.

Like I said Howard - like a bunch of name calling children, sticking up for their friends right or wrong.
GaryC - perhaps you did not read it, perhaps you are blinded by your own clear dislike of me, but clearly if you think what Howard said was an attempt at moderation then it explains a lot about you.

Is the following a jibe or is it a reply or comment
#125 Pot kettle black springs to mind, no wonder I hardly ever bother to reply to Barry's posts I just read them and cringe at his insensitivity.
Edit, sorry Chris I had to answer the phone mid post I will now be quiet.

Barry is fully aware of his actions and enjoys the uproar it causes. Some people thrive on conflict, provication, manipulation and bizarre statements all made to arouse passionate debate.
Barry is a clever bloke in more ways than one!

Insults always flow from you Reg - have you nothing else? I cannot be bothered to respond to yours.
Its fine to hurl insults, be rude and so on if you are Reg, Jan, Howard, GaryC - all the children will join in. But if I respond those little feet stamp and its tantrums all the way. It really is past parody.
