Looks like saving as much from the burnt out shell for comversion - surprised reallty if there is anything that is saveable given the state it is in !

Paul and Brian, I'm still perplexed as to why the Western Heights residents at Bradden have not had their proposals for a local community centre/visitors centre taken into consideration.

Were they not supposed to be considered as a group of residents with a voice in the chapter?

Modern hotels usually provide the facilities for groups and meetings so there would be no need for a community centre.

How would I know Alex, no-one has mentioned a proposal for a community centre to me, but surely this goes against you not wanting any new buildings up there. Where will it go ?

Unless you mean "Conversion of the Drop Redoubt to a Museum/Visitor Centre (Use Class D1)" - ah there's the visitor centre !!

I can't exactly remember where the WH residents had proposed a community centre, but think it was in one of the buildings in need of renovation. Possibly Victoria Hall.
DDC would need to contact them to find out.

There was me thinking, months back, DDC was taking up a direct consultation with the WH residents!
Evidently not the case, then.

You are talk to me like I am DDC ???????? I have no connections with DDC so I have no idea what you are implying. Why would DDC speaking to the residents involve me ??????

The only building in need of renovation, other than the fortifications, is Victoria Hall which is owned by CGI. Why would they offer it to the residents when they want to make money from converting it ??
