DHB playing this as the community being against the development when the objections relate only to the pier. Furthermore where will this community leisure be? First time that this has been mentioned.

Vic you are in a minority of the district's population in trusting the DHB and believing what they say.

I am not involved with the Peoples Port so have no axe to grind, I along with everyone I have spoken to recently think DHB could not care less about Dover or its population.
Vic seems totally blinkered when it comes to DHB and completely believes whatever orchestrated propaganda they decide to feed us.

All I do is use my eyes, and over the 40years or more I see how the town has moved on and the D,H,B, has moved on and the D,H,B, wins down hands .

The Chief executive speaks of being "kicked in the teeth" by the criticism, funnily enough I felt the the same with the announcement of our pier being dismantled. His sad attempt at gaining sympathy will only fool a few.

I said this many times the forum does not give out the views of the whole district only of its members which is only a few .

As I and others have said the pass is the pass is the pass and gone I think that for the first time in over 40years we have a town council, a district council, and D,H,B working all with each other without taking shots at each other and by doing what they are trying to do Dover is at last on the way back up so us ,the public can do our part by backing them and telling them and in case,s helping them to carry on doing that, And in doing that we will all have a much better town,District, and port to live and bring our family up.So please stop trying to shot them down or we could see it all stop and go backwards again to what it was ,and none of us wish to see that.Look forward and upwards like they are. Thank you.

Vic I thought we were allowed free speech on this forum but it seems you want to negate that policy. I will only stop my negative comments about DHB when you stop your blinkered positive comments.

DHB getting support from Cllr Gordon Cowan but they still waffle on and refuse to say whether the pier will ever be open again.

Mr Mcsweeney will you ever stop going on about the D,H,B, and what they are or not doing there are lots more that need to be looked at and done in and around the town you are not helping by keep running and talking down the port .Being so negative 24/7 is only going to stop even more members posting. When talking to members of the public in the town most have said they do not post anymore because of this kind of negative talk. Please give it a rest .

343 letters of protest, 6 of support.' it's now full steam ahead...'.
Does this not strike you as a bit odd Vic ?
A question was asked about an alternative, answer was 'do nothing', so Dover as a town and its population have to take what they are told they are getting, despite a 50 odd to one ratio of protesters to supporters.
'Talking down' the port won't stop people posting, blind obedience to DDC and DHB propaganda might though.

Vic, still blinkered and objecting to other views apart from your own being posted, maybe it is time for you to "Please give it a rest"

I don't see the point of that they cannot remove anything until the planning application is passed.
