Howard, the youth unemployment figures in Dover are not a topic among the local authorities.
But I have my information.
People between 16 and 24 of British origin signing on would not fit in with the recent Council elections, would they?
All we do is give jobs away to all and sundry thanks to the local factory and warehouse employers, and benefits for all children are laid on lavishly!
Never mind the 60% British youth unemployment in Dover.
We have a spineless Government, and I never shied away in my representations to the DfT in telling them that the jobs go mainly to non-British people here in Dover, and that we need an income from the Port for LOCAL regeneration for OUR people and NOT others!
Unlike the authorities here!
