The trouble is Vic, if you are talking about cars/motorhomes etc. that are legally parked on Folkestone Road, the Police won't do anything
If they are causing obstruction, in Belgrave Road through inconsiderate parking, then they should.

It will not help when they do away with the tax dis on the window because if you see it is not taxed that helps in geting a car move.
I think this will cost the powers to be alot of cash we will see alot more cars not taxed the police can not keep on top of it now so what will happen when cars do not even show a tax?
A very bad move that was.

I tend to agree with that Vic. People will (and do) take a chance on taxing their cars/vans.
The difference now is that everything is electronically linked, so you can't get one without having the other.

Isn't there a law about not parking within 15 feet of a corner? I had difficulty on Sunday at the junction of Reading and Markland Roads when a Transit or Sprinter was parked right on the corner.

Yes you are right Terry but no one takes notice of laws like that anymore because they do not in force them any longer.
How many times to see all this going on the police just drive by or even walk by.
Its the paper work that needs to be cut down by policeman ,that is why they do not stop and take matters up anymore.

Parking on double yellow lines is the responsibility of DDC Parking Services. Maybe every corner should have DYL ?

The ones in Clarendon Place near the "Malvern" pub are routinely parked on as they know that parking wardens rarely go up there.

Its been there a couple of months I would say.
How long does it take to remove a car like that?
Got around to reporting this car on DDC's website today. Wonder if something will happen?

Another week of hit and miss with the 68 bus route with Clarendon Place impossible to navigate, today not one of the journeys got through meaning council tax money being spent with little to show for it. Until DDC acknowledge the problem the bad service will continue.

May I surgest that those of us who use the 68 service get together on line ande send a joint complaint to those concerned. I have a friend who works for the bus company and they are well aware of the problem, which is not of thier making. However I do understand that larger cars take up more space and that they cannot park on the pavement, so what is the answer? You cannot ban larger cars, they cannot park on the walkways, you cannot get smaller buses, so, what are we left with? Lose the 68 service or re-route it?
