That particular car parks there a lot, not actually on double yellows so nothing is done.
Very dangerous for people on mobility scooters or pushing baby buggies to go out in front of the traffic.

In which case I would not feel at all guilty if I happened to scratch it as I went past.

If you think that is bad take a look down Sanctuary Close sometime.

Oh well 7 weeks since my first e mail to KCC.supposed to reply within 3 working days.
Over 2 weeks to Cllr Gordon Cowan - no response.
We have 2 county councillors. 3 district councillors and a host of town councillors that show scant interest in our less mobile citizens.

I've actually reported it twice on the DDC website. The 2nd time just to get a reference number. Completely ridiculous!

That's strange, I recently read on Facebook that car had gone.

Today's driver used his initiative and used Clarendon St sailing through without having to stop and turn anyone's wing mirror in.
Clarendon Place Much narrower.
No room on the pavements for buggies/mobility scooters.

A moment of supreme irony came about this afternoon when a parking warden ventured into no mans land and came across this van parked on double yellow lines, ticket duly issued. The van did not stop the bus or other commercial vehicles passing.

I suppose they have to be seen to be doing something,i,m sure there is far more badly parked than this van.If they really wanted to be awkward they could probably ticket cars that were parked on the pavements there. That would probably be the whole street if they did.

The only time they venture up here is early Sunday morning to ticket some poor devil that has come late the night before and plans to park llegally the next morning.
No obstruction is caused.

You cannot have it both ways you moan about bad parking yet when they act on it, you are still not happy. As we all know it is a very old part of Dover and even when I lived up that way from the 1940s to about the late 1970s there was not that amount of car owners living up there, some house even now have been made into flats so a lot more owners up there, they have to park in the street. Also in my days living at Westbury there was no bus that came up there you walked down to Folkestone rd,young and old.

After the first missed journey the driver took it upon himself to go along the Folkestone Rd turning into Belgrave Rd then up as far as Clarendon Place before turning back.

Same problem today with a helpful driver going up Belgrave Rd again . Incidentally the bin lorry couldn't get down Trinity Rd in Deal yesterday because of parked cars.

I did point this out some time ago that it would be better all round if the bus went that way all the time ,he can turn easy at the top then stop by Westbury rd,.

Just read that the inconsiderate parkers in Clarendon place are mostly from the customs building in St John's Rd. Most Clarendon Place residents are aware that it is a bus route and park accordingly. Incidentally a road in Eastry missed its bin collection today due to the same parking problems.
