Paul Watkins wrote:Booked my vaccine online this morning . No letter received. Offered Debenhams or pharmacy in Deal ( which I accepted). Simple process. Plenty of spaces for those eligible.
How do you book it without an invitation letter?

On the other hand I've just been there. It was very busy but but everyone kept their distance and the hard working staff were great. Such was the volume that it took an hour to get the jab.
Well done!

I got a text message from my surgery yesterday giving me an address to click on to. The address came back as unknown so I rang Peter St surgery this morning and the receptionist said not to worry and gave me a list of times to attend the Health Centre on Maison Dieu road. I picked 1pm Saturday, someone on Facebook told me to wrap up well as they had to wait outside for 15 minutes. Sounds better than Debenhams at Folkestone though. Will have to wait and see.

Chris , sorry I missed your query. #182
Go to nhs.uk website it should direct you to vaccination site. You need to scroll down thru eligibility’ criteria ( ignore if necessary) & move on . It will take you to booking . You need to enter personal details & your NHS number then continue thru the rest of process. It will presumably then decide whether to let you continue to book an appt at designated sites. Carry on & complete. Confirmatory email will follow giving you a designated id number.

'Our' bloated NHS, the fifth largest employer on the planet, with 1,200,000 employees treating 36,000 in hospital due to Corvid?
Hospital chaos will have led to 46,000 avoidable deaths by end of next month.
Cancellations to routine operations may cause 18,000 excess deaths overall.

Nope. And nor are most of the 1,200,000 - which is why doctors and nurses are no more likely to die than the general population.

Some times Bob tour comments are not very logical .I pray every night that my Granddaughter will be safe .Its the stupidly of people who go out mixing not staying in their support bubble ?Until the virus is under control people should take care .

I am still waiting to get my Health Centre appointment. I am now verging on having agoraphobia and not wanting to go out in this miserable winter weather so I am quite happy to wait safe and not at all bored indoors in the warm and dry.

Just back from the Health Centre after having had the virus vaccination. It was run very efficiently, South Foreland Rotary Club provided the marshals who did a splendid job of keeping things moving along. I got there early and was seen early, no queues at all but a continuous stream of people. I had the Pfizer injection and was given a card and was told that my surgery would be in touch with me for the second jab. I had to wait 10 to 15 minutes before leaving the Centre to see if therewere any adverse effects. Altogether, a good experience, as I was expecting a long wait outside in the rain. Well done the Health Centre nurses and clerical staff and the Rotary Cub volunteers.

My aunt felt weak and nauseous the day after her jab, so be wary.

Everyone affected differently
I had just a small pain in the arm for 3 days
Nothing now
Others felt quite sick but got over it
But all still thankful for having the jab

Further to Alec’s post above. Had my first Pfizer jab this morning at Dover Health Centre.
Greeted every step of the way from car park to nurses’ chair by numerous helpful and cheery volunteer COVID Marshals from Rotary Club. No wait. Nurse explained every step of the way. Could not have wished for a better organised event. Grateful thanks to both organisers and Rotary volunteers.
Well done to all.

Good to see the rate are still coming down locally, now 159/100000.
The Dover area was 6th? worst in the country at one point. Now 281st.
