There was money in an account from all those poor Dovorians that were scammed into buying a share but as Charlie would now be in control of that account I suspect the money is long gone.

I'm unsure where you are at sometimes ....
You raise many questions on here and rightly so,
Yet I raise a question and it's an issue .

There are important issues raised on this Forum...undoubtedly, why and where, a substantial amount of money was unaccounted for, and by, the People's Port ......namely why Neil Wiggins is still on the Dover Harbour Board payroll...and simply does nothing...Oh yes, as pointed out....pops out on a Saturday for a natter in Town....
As pointed out, he could not even handle the Goodwin Sands dredging challenge with the media etc.....
Keith Sansum has asked what happened to the monies paid into The Peoples Port by the ordinary folk of Dover#102..£10.00 for a Share Certificate....22.000 people paid their £10.00. thinking they had a share in the Port of Dover.......
Another member comes in with personal snipes.....it is the threads taken up with personal digs that then disappear....and thus no questions are answered.
This could be why Dover is in such a mess...............

What exactly was Neil supposed to do regarding the sands? He is one voice and none of us know what is said in DHB meetings and he would not be allowed to reveal it.
As you can see from post 100 he was re-elected to the roll and if you followed the link in 101 maybe you could ask one of the signatories about the money. Though its all in the link for you to read.
I was one of those who put up a tenner, I wasn't expecting a share in the port (any who did really didn't understand what they were signing up for).

By my reckoning that would make £220,000; can you reveal where you get your figures from?

I thought I asked a reasonable question
.
Which I'm sure Neil can answer without breaching anything

Perfectly reasonable Keith just asking it of Neil is like me asking you the same question.

I would presume he was supposed to reflect on the opinion of the community rather than run to the press and scaremonger us all into thinking hundreds of Dover families would be affected if approval to dredge the Goodwins was not granted.
Anyone got one of these 520 new long term jobs he promised or visited the world class shops and restaurants along the marina curve.

The opinion of SOS is not the same as community opinion!
Have they actually started dredging the sands?
Did he promise those jobs?
Is the development finished?
Dozens of jobs have already been created however in the new cargo terminal and more on the way.

Reginald
Neil served on the port committee before it was disbanded so it's not quite the same as just asking anyone .
He served on the committee that collected all the monies , all im asking what happened to the monies when they packed up ?

See link in #101 and ask one of those who can answer. Neil stopped being involved in 2013.

Yeah? So how come we so rarely see vessels there? How come since the swing bridge has been closed no-one has noticed any 'cargo' passing the Yacht Club along the seafront?

The community was much more behind SOS than the Harbour Board's position. That was certainly the way the situation was reflected in social media and the local press.
Neil can come on here and defend himself as he has done before but there are many out there who feel he 'went native' when he accepted his position with DHB.
The cargo terminal and, in particular, the new marina are an embarrassment to the town at the moment.
Look at the board of the defunct People's Port. No names, no pack drill but there are individuals on there who amply demonstrated that they couldn't run the proverbial in a brewery. Dover District Chamber of Commerce anyone?

Keith - I am sure Pedro has answered your question in the past and would be happy to do so again, why not talk to him/e-mail him, when you do you will then know and can share or not as you see fit.
Bob - Prior to Xmas there was significant truck movements along the seafront due to the swing bridge closure, I haven't been down there since so cannot comment on this month
Ray - social media commentary etc. is no real measure of how people feel, though it does often provide an echo chamber for those who shout loudest. Most people I talked to didn't care one way or another where DHB got its sand from provided they delivered what they promised. The fact they haven't is of course a source of frustration ans annoyance.
Regarding Neil (he is a big boy and can defend himself) all I will say is that it is a difficult balance being the dissenting voice as whilst you may air those views in the boardroom outside of it you are bound by your duties to represent the decision taken whether you agree with it or not. whilst you could step down in order to talk freely, one might feel it is better to fight the internal battle and take the odd brick bat from the public.
