Not quite how I read it, but they managed to get in the assertion that "...the plans were widely criticised, even described as a "monstrosity" by the Port of Dover's own community director Neil Wiggins."
If you fancy a sunny weekend afternoon with some friends, having a drink and something to eat, maybe listening to some live music, where would you go - the Marina Curve or the Harbour Arm?

Definitely Fokestone Harbour Arm.

Well we have visited the newly opened curve, its a nice open area & looks great at the moment. Once the now current gravel area is populated by retail, hotel ,buildings etc then the pedestrian area will feel rather hemmed in to the railings.
Anyway its great to see the progress, for some reason DWDR has gone quiet on the development. Thank you to the forum members for the uptodate information

Revised plans have been submitted for the Motel development on Marina Curve. The number of modular units has been reduced. The plans for the restaurant/bar unit is “as is”. Both applications go before Planning Committee on 9 December.
The Applications can be seen, with public comments both for and against, on the DDC Planning site.
Interesting that the company behind this has never had any experience of operating a motel and have never made a profit. No doubt it will get approved by DDC.
