One of the best articles I have read about what is happening regarding the Jungle and migrants.
No hysterical outbursts just facts.

Try telling that to the "No borders" crowd and their hysterical, well meaning but gullible supporters Jan.
The "Independent" always do their homework and have been very critical of the French authorities when they deserved it but are now highlighting the positive aspects.

Looking at the facts as they now stand it is understood that security is so good at the port and the tunnel that very many are happily moving to inland centres and claiming asylum in France.
Others have agreed to fly home to their countries of origin courtesy of the French tax payer, so things weren't quite so dangerous after all.

If this had been in the Sun, Mail or Express I wouldn't have taken much notice but now the liberal media have taken this up.

The whole migrant issue has exposed the uselessness of the EU.

The EU have always maintained that the problems in Northern France are nothing to do with them.

They were talking about this ages aho hoping this would help save lives and are still at the talking stage.. Maybe our resident naval commander could take the initiative, a few well aimed torpedoes could help the situation?

In a year or two there will be sheds on Dover seafront to house them.

Social media is a wonderful thing but doesn't always show us in a good light locally with most people thnking that migrants/refugees sleeping on concrete floors, in unsanitary conditions with no dry or clean clothes, very little food and water with disease prevalent i a good thing.

By all accounts Mrs Merkel's party is likely to take a bit of a bashing over the weekend in lolcal polls in Germany, many think because of her attitude to refugees. I think there is more to it than that and the position is she has been around too long, become arrogant and thinking only her opinion matters. We have seen this in the UK with both Thatcher and Blair thinking they were unsinkable.

So basically our excellent Border Farce allowed 3,500 to arrive in/on/under freight trucks last summer who chose to get out at Folkestone and claim asylum! (this does not cover all those who chose to remain on board the trucks and carry on up the M20!) and it is our fault somehow not to provide suitable accommodation before processing them and giving them all temporary admission (though giving them multi-lingual leaflets asking if they could call in at Croydon, if they are not too busy, to pursue their claim) whereupon they are never seen again!
My heart bleeds.
