When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan. Proverbs 29:2

Thank goodness I am out of all this now, Ido not know what made me start doing it all in the first place,

Not that most of us will notice many if any changes

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I can only assume counting is taking place today. Will not take long only three seats to.count. Let us hope we will see a difference. The Town Ciuncil have made an attempt with the blue street furniture ,flowers and the St Edmunds Chapel.Little by little. The Town Council ca not change people's attitudes.

Dear boy, what about the turnout? Those numbers indicate below 20% - do you know the figures? Where might they be found? Do pray tell.

Dear Lord, Are you the Dover Ceefax/Reuters? Dover's very own Laura Kuenssberg? Your finger on the pulse connections...hugely appreciated. Praise be, dear child, praise be.

Call the NT book of John (Heron) on Chapter 2 verses 1-11 ... one believes he is at a marriage in Canna, a voicemail may be your only oddbins/opinion.

Sad that the turn out is so low.Pity that too many Councillors wear more than one hat. There has to be a conflict of interest. Are you loyal to KCC,DDC or Town Council To wear Robes or not that. Is the question.

Will the Labour party learn the latest lesson? They foisted the candidate in safe St Radigunds and lost now again in Maxton, Elms Vale and Priory despite throwing all their resources at the ward.
John Heron lives in Town and Pier and won comfortably.

John Heron - bless him. Won because of what he is, a thoroughly decent man. Not his political shades, people know he will act for the good of this Town, not for a political party.
Keith Sansum, a bit of an old woman - but once again he has the Town and the people's best interests at heart.
Good results all round.
The very low turn-out, in my opinion, reflects the disappointment in the Dover Town Council, and their reluctance to engage fully with the Towns' People.

Low turnouts in Town Council elections are the norm throughout our fair land. Saw the runner up in Town and Pier racing through Market Square earlier shouting something that sounded like "If I get my hands on that plucker Heron".
