always surprises me when staunch reds like keith and john rubbish ukip.
they usually hit in to the blue vote, though i agree with john not so much at the recent county vote.
i think the reality is that if vic and/or ukip stand in priory maxton elms vale that the result will be 3 red district councillors.

No surprises in Tower Hamlets ask me anything you want Vic,and if you need to know about the wards 4 months before an election I would suggest you are running out of time.
I don't speak for my leader but I know he is happy with what I do for the people of my Ward,My Town and My district, wether the people are I will find out in May but I suspect they will be.If not I have tried my best and if that is there will then so be it,I believe in democracy and if I lost I wouldn't change parties to get elected somewhere else.
Howard I suspect you are right and in most of Dover it will not matter where UKIP stand, but it might in some wards, but as I say in Dover I think it will help the Labour Party because disaffected Tories and Libs(who never fight Tower Hamlets) will look to vote elsewhere without voting Labour,I expect those Labour Cllrs to get extra votes than last time.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

A question I asked before but can't remember where to look and don't think it was answered anyway, UKIP stood in Temple Ewell and Lydden (my ward) at the last DDC election and the by-election but nowhere else (and Liberals didn't), why were we so favoured?

I was mainly interested why we had a UKIP candidate in the 2007 DDC elections, Arthur George Norton stood for UKIP in Lydden and Temple Ewell and got 79 votes

keith is right on this one, the thread is clearly about politics and many of our members will not even look at it.
say for example someone started a thread entitled "the merits of morris dancing" there is a strong likelihood that i might not look in.
