"three very experienced border agency officers"!
We don't know how many people came in without any proper border control because of their deliberate actions.
The best thing Theresa May did was to sack them.
Hopefully it's to the Court with them now.

You want her to be to blame Keith, that is not the same as her being to blame. We shall see in due course.

Keith, a recent Sky report published the version of a UKBA whistle-blower, who, among other things, said that whenever a minister went to inspect the border controls, the chiefs of the UKBA would have a larger number of border agents turn out for the occasion, to give a false impression to the Government, namely that the borders were being manned in an efficient way.
If it turns out that this was the case, then it must have serious consequences for those involved, for misleading Parliament and the public.
As Barry says, we'll have to wait and see what the inquiry brings to light.

That happens all over Alex,I bet when the Queen goes somewhere she must think that we have millions of Police and Service Personnel, and of course road sweepers, try calling a copper or getting a road sweeper to do your road.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

Theresa May suspended three top experienced Border Agency people.
Then used her office to destroy their careers.Allowing the media to attack them when they could not reply.................cowardly..............error of judgement.
New boy on the block Rob Whiteman..fat cat....brown nose.......five minutes on the job decides to suspend Brodie Clark.
Now he blames Dame Helen Ghosh.Private Secretary to Theresa May............not a wise move as she reports everything to and takes instructions from Theresa May.........All in it together!!
When its not working..............the person in charge has failed.......QED.
Theresa May did not know the legislation of her department.
Brodie Clark followed the pilot scheme and continued the legislation already in place.
Damian Green is next in front of the select committee, information is he was advised of the every action taken by the Border Agency..............watch the shuffle in the seat.

Keith, I doubt the Government can afford to be blown to pieces, the situation is too delicate for that, and like it or not, we need a strong-willed Government right now.
I'm regaining confidence in the Tories, and don't think they have lost the sight of the tunnel's end.

is slowly opening up so many cracks, and papering over them wont help

Osborne`s economic strategy `rests` on continued high levels of immigration to Britain..........in contrast to the
Conservative pledge/policy of cutting net immigration by`` tens of thousands``
The Government will find itself in a position of either having to allow continued immigration in the ``hundreds of
thousands`or jepardising the country`s economic recovery....`what recovery``...according to it`s own fiscal watchdog
the Office for Budget Responsibility.
Ministers will not reduce average annual immigration down to ``tens of thousands``over the course of this parliament
according to the OBR`s projections.Instead net inward migration to Britain will remain at an average of..........140,000 a
year until......2016,it says despite repeated promises from conservative ministers that they will reduce immmigtation
flows to substantially below these levels.
If ministers were to succeed in reducing immigration down to their target the UK economic growth would be damaged.
The forecast is embarrassing to Cameron and Theresa May who have repeatedly insisted that the Tory manifesto pledge
will be met.
