Having read through this thread I am absolutely appalled! Egotistical posturing by self important people has prevented the people of Dover from getting a most important but basic facility. I couldn't care less which Party any of the DTC Councillors are affiliated to, they should be serving the town's needs only, period!! I am too sickened to even want to follow the story any longer but hopefully the people of Dover will have long memories when the time comes to vote at the next local elections.

Yet more lazy journalism
Of course we will retender, we have done nothing wrong.
It also was not a question of DTC supporting us or otherwise it was a question of how did the council wish to proceed with something they had committed funds to given the accusations made against the Town Clerk and a leading councillor.
But hey why let the truth get in the way of some good old fashioned muck raking

Public were present Howard (not many though). Toilets will be re-tendered. The lease is not yet countersigned (DTC have done their bit with the pen but not the other party). Tender to be awarded sometime around, or just after, Christmas.
