DHB on 13 June 2012 submitted, to the Secretary of State for Transport, an enhanced proposal of its privatisation scheme originally published in January 2010.....
"
Our (DHB) scheme, and in particular the PDCT, appears to fit extremely well with Government's latest thinking on the criteria for the sale of trust ports. To date we have engaged with as with as many people as possible to create positive momentum, interest and enthusiasm for a PDCT which works for the community. A broad group of key community representatives has come together in order to take forward the development of the proposed Port of Dover Community Trust. The group, chaired by the Bishop of Dover, the Rt Revd Trevor Willmott, continues to meet in order to bring forward a united proposal for the benefit of the local community.
