the major chain are on the brink of opening a fast food outlet in limekiln street, complete with 4 drive through car washes.
seems well placed to do well, besides the through traffic there is megger, aycliffe business centre and the wedding cake that should provide them with plenty of business.

The garage has a amazing trade, the shop is a godsend to the shift workers in the area with a well stocked 24 hour shop and food outlet. Costa and Subway are two major outlets but both are on the expensive side.

Yes indeed there is a new one coming there Howard and Martin is right the shop is a godsend up there and well stocked. Prices not quite as low as supermarkets but still quite fair, its a SPAR if I remember rightly.
I was in there yesterday getting a few essentials as cupboards were extremely bare after my brief interlude away.. and on the inside the new Subway is already up and running, up and running within the store but not yet on the outside. Looks tasty. Will be very handy when the drive through is open....Not sure what the costs are for Subway Vic but its surely to be competitive so I'll be a customer for sure. Good luck to them.

i think that their prices are standard irrespective of location.
if they are paying more rent and business rates it would be because they will have more custom.

It's good to see new enterprises opening in Dover, we would also welcome their Advertising Support to keep this Community Online Magazine going Free for All to Use.
I also notice that The Ink Well Tattoo Studio has opened it's doors next to the fire station, I wish Rick all the best for the future

Another grand opening next week is Mascarada up London Road. Anyone in Morrisons on Saturday will have seen some of Louise's Disney costumes that the staff were wearing. I loved the Cruella Deville and the White Rabbit.

Absolutely Keith and it is a pretty bright side to be honest - my trawling over various threads and dodgy memory came up with the following list:
On Bench Street - Cyclelife Dover opened this week
On Limekiln Street - A new Subway opened in late July
On Biggin Street - Bench a furniture retailer opened in April
On Biggin Street - A new barbers in the old florists opposite Boots is due to open soon
On Pencester - Poundland opened in July
On Ladywell - a new tattoo parlour has just opened
On The High Street - The Chineses Supermarket opened in June
On The High Street - the new landlord re-negotiate the lease with Delmaines and they will now NOT be closing
On The High Street - the old Delmaines repair shop is at long last undergoing fitting out - lets see what moves in there
On The High Street - the Coughie Shop opened in the old computer shop in July
On London Road - Schuzee opened in June
On London Road - Masquerada Fancy Dress - opened on Friday
On London Road - No 2-3 has been sold and new tenants should be moving in soon
On London Road - Sema4 has been sold and is currently undergoing refurbishment with a retail tenant being sought by the new owners
On London Road - No 33 is now in use again as a music related second hand/new store
On London Road - The Old Endeavour Pub has reoopened under new management after a complete refurb
At Charlton Green - Asda has opened in the old Netto premises
How many other local towns are in this lucky position?

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
While loving someone deeply gives you courage" - Laozi

I bet a lot of other towns wished they had a many shops opening in such a short period, we must continue supporting our businesses so they can stay open.
Ross, you forgot the new/replacement bookshop on the corner of Biggin Street.
