Surely that would encroach on the socialising space of those who need encouragement to face the day out of a tin can?
Although a number share their limited vocabulary with passers by, I am often surprised there are not more problems in the area caused by alcohol consumption.

Fantastic effort on Sunday by Kent scooterists & motorcyclist who raised a truly marvellous £1575 from their ride-out from Canterbury to Dover sea-front

Hi Jan
our event in the Clarendon and westbury community centre we are still collecting and in the middle of auctioning a few items before we get a final figure but we raised a thousand just in the hall and if all other offers of donations come forward we could reach 2 grand
All this started from our association saying it would donate a few hundred to todays great effort by volunteers and those that donated I'm proud of them all
I have a few more ideas as well to bolster the figure but chatting soon with the committee

Gradually getting there..........
"The total of all the fundraising so far is £302417!!
As a reminder, we need £405000 for the surgery alone in Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Centre and when we have reached £405000 we will have to pay the money up front and then we can go to New York for surgery.
Kelly won't be able to have the immunotherapy and radiotherapy until we have paid, up front, the remainder of the bill, which is £1,000,000 or $1,200,000.
I hope all of this makes sense.

Latest amount raised.
"I would like to thank everyone for your kindness to Kelly, Martin and I, and for all your support and generosity since we started fundraising for Kelly at the end of May, and wish you all a very happy Christmas and new year. Without you we wouldn't have been able to raise £351000, which is amazing!
We're not giving up on Kelly ever, and we will get Kelly the treatment she needs to live a long and fruitful life. #doingitforkelly"

I have read about a lot of events that have happened but not many that are to come (unless I have missed them ). A number of the events have been outside of the town so all of Kent and further afield are doing doing their bit.

Still climbing.

Here's a couple of photos from our day out in Canterbury recently.
If anyone wants to see the total of the fundraising, put your finger on the photo of Kelly on the swing, and it will take you to the total raised. For all those that don't know. The total now is £362,000
