19:3791510Is that due to the amount of Doggie Doings along your street Ian or have they been leaving little presents by your gate?

23:1491530Both Barry, I have never caught them yet and when I do, watch for the fire works.
The dirty Filthy B****DS will get my full force and wear it home lovingly.
Can anyone back me up in court?
Ian...

09:1691542These irresponsible, lazy, useless, couldn't-care-less people should be named and shamed in the local papers.
I'd defend your character Ian all the way and as much as you might want to cover the toe-rag owner in their dog's poop, I'm not sure it is acceptable in this PC day and age.
Must be a wonderful feeling though that you've taught the so and so a lesson he won't forget.
Of course if you did what you'd love to do, it may have wider implications for your job ? and would it be worth losing your job because of some dog-shite.

15:3891569I quite understand your feelings Ian, I've had the occassional little present thrown over my gate all neatly wrapped in a poop sack, why they don't drop it in the nearest poop bin I'll never know

16:3091576As no one answered my Question on how much the fines the dog Warden has achieved as I have just got the budget I thought you might like to hear what it says;
Dog Control Measures, the environmental health section manage the the Dog warden service, which is currently contracted out to a company called Animal Wardens. The key purpose of the wardens is to target and patrol the district with a view to reducing the number of stray dogs and the levels of Dog fouling using a combination of enforcement and education methods.
Dog Control Measures.
Costs 59,050
Income 7,050
Sub Total 52,000
Recharge 29,540
Total cost 81,540.

i hope you are not suggesting that we dump in the gutter, then collect it up in a plastic bag to take home?
doesn't sound very british to me.

21:4791607Does anyone else think the problem of dogs fouling is increasing? I do not mean the little bags left lying around, but the actual mess on the pavements, there seems more to me

21:5291608Yes you are right Jan,I have noticed it is always worse in the winter, perhaps it is because people like to stay nearer home to walk thier dogs,or because it is dark don't go up to places like Connaught.

21:4091734Well Well Well, people have been stopping and looking at the sign, maybe the word has got around, maybe someone feels guilty.
No poo for 2 days.
Lets all go mad forumites and beat the council to it, put up sings all over the place and make the guilty feel ashamed.

09:1692818OK after our Scuity meeting last night I asked about the £7,000 income shown as collected income and I wondered if this was fines handed out for Dog fouling as if it was I would be shock. It wasn't it is income from Kennel fees for stray dogs and some Parishes buy into the Scheme.
The Dog warden is contracted in and because of the cut backs we are losing one of the 2 part time dog wardens,of course cuts like this do not show up on the Councils job lost scheme because they are contracted in.

09:4492821While I feel sorry for the Dog Warden that is going, will he/she be missed? I very much doubt it.
