A few years ago Howard, there were several of us booted.
How dare you accuse me of having David as a friend! He is merely a working aquaintance
Anyway, Mr Little must be switched back on forthwith, he has a wide readership and is well liked for his dogged, determined and articulate postings. .

Could the switching on of David be made a public event, for those like me who were disappointed at not being able to see the Christmas lights being switched on. Not quite the same but I'm sure you'd get a good crowd
re Howard not deleting any posts relating to himself, the phrase "They don't like it up 'em" springs to mind!

I once put a link on here to that rascally place (to correct a blinding calumny), it was immediately deleted and my post altered.

I cannot imagine that David is a broken man Simon, just because he has been banned from Dover Forum- angry maybe, pee'd off even, but certainly not broken.
If or when he is re-instated, can you ask him to make less personal attacks, not just to me but too anyone who posts on here ?
I didn't ask him to be banned, but I had quietly stopped posting for a while as I was doing my best to respond to his vitriolic postings a positive way, but it obviously wasn't good enough for David.
I have supported the Town Team and the Blue-Birds market in every thing I have written, including as you rightly said Simon, my latest Newsletter that was kindly reported in the Mercury - good write-up I thought and hopefully will encourage more people into Town today.

Well Roger, I suppose I can see that you might take David's taunts personally, and I suppose Paul could too. I feel sure however, that in true John Humphreys style, there is nothing at all personal and all he has been trying to do is to get to the bottom of innaction as the ordinary person sees it. I did ask on here if there could be found a way of keeping the people up to date with what is going on whilst respecting the innevitabe commercial sensitivities that there will be. It would keep people like David at bay and also help the less articulate drivel on, in what is quite understandably ignorant torment.
Right, now back to the real issue.
David needs to be reinstated and so too to do my delete posts.

If I was a shrinking violet I could get quite upset about my posts being unceremoniously deleted. Dark forces at work here!

Here we go then
now, as i'm not in possession of the reasons for any ban I can only judge my views on the postings that have appeared.
David without doubt is a controversial figure(no problem with that) often as Roger has indicated the personal comments did david no justice,
Of course the market was (is) good thing so we should look at the positives.
I'm not one that agrees with banning(but posters do need to self regulate) I'v even supported barryw when he was banned some time ago, im all for open discussion.
Of course we are only aware of one side of this dispute, not sure how we get over this one
ALL POSTS ARE MY OWN PERSONAL VIEWS

Howard, when did I say that you are inarticulate? I couldn't say that could I, that would be personal and rude!
I was posting alot last night and I know I was not drunk because I am on the wagon. I could be going mad and that would not be a particular surprise. I will therefore have to copy all my posts in future so that I can be precise should the need arise.

This is the season of goodwill?I can recall Simon you being in a school play with my daughter Louise at River School. Jolly days .
I think everyone should be very careful on what they post .Councillors seem to get a lot of stick.Ihave had to get Howard to delete the offensive ones directed towards me. We do our best.
David Im sure I know you but i try to do my best at all times.

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

David and his crew have made progress and may have shaken the pillars of the temple in the process, upsetting a few people. Good for them.
